What a crazy couple of days, but fun and exciting as well. The big news is that I signed a contract to play basketball in Iceland for the upcoming season. I leave September 14th, and surprisingly the flight isn't to bad. I fly from KC to Minneapolis and then have a non-stop flight to Reykjavik, Iceland, a 7 hour flight. That's nothing compared to the 16 hour flight I had to Taiwan so it shouldn't be bad at all. Once I get there, I will be staying in a Guesthouse not to far from the gym. I will get some kind of car to drive, which I am still interested to see just what they provide me. I am really looking forward to heading over there. I think it will be a lot of fun and new experience to learn from.
Aside from that, I spent last weekend in St. Louis with one of my best friends and her husband to go to the Cardinals game. Its always a great day when I get to see Games but to add Cardinals baseball on top of that made for a fantastic weekend.
Not to whole lot more going on. Just trying to figure out what I need to pack for Iceland and how I am going to fit it all in 2 suitcases... wish me luck!

Time to say goodbye
Sorry its been so long since I last updated. A lot has happened in the past few months, some good, some great, some bad, and some worse. I went through senior night at Iowa State, standing in front of 10,000 of the best fans in the country and explaining how great of an experience I had at Iowa State and how I will never forget my 4 years.I followed my Dreams and played in the Sweet 16 while also making the Elite 8, a memory I will cherish and replay over and over again in my life. I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding, and was so happy to be a part of her special day! I graduated from College with a double major, the first to do so in my family. I went to New York and played in a Pro Exposure camp where I made the All-Star team while also being named Co-MVP. While in New York I realized just how amazing the "Cyclone Family" is, as I stayed with an alumni who welcomed me into his apartment with no hesitation. I walked down times square and stood in awe as I looked at Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty. I hosted an unforgettable beer pong tournament, where I am still at little fuzzy on the details of that day... Me and the Hawkeye bottle will never be friends again. I spent an amazing week on the island of Boca Grande, running on white sand and relaxing on the private beaches. I ended an era in Ames, Iowa host of some of the best times of my life. I celebrated my best friends 21st birthday, and said my goodbyes to my teammates aka my best friends. I met new people, and fell out of touch with old. I grew up while still having that inner child inside me. I made mistakes, and I learned from them. I told some people how I felt and regretted not telling others. And now I living an untypical 22 year olds life. Living back in my parents basement until I figure out the next steps in my life. And until that happens, that's all I have.
